CBD infused skincare products can be found on the shelves of retailers like  Sephora, Barneys and Neiman Marcus.  Research has shown that over 50% of consumers of beauty products are interested in natural, clean, and sustainable products. Consumers are interested in feeling good, as well as looking good.

“Cannabidiol offers some serious antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits which can be beneficial in treating skin concerns like inflammation, dryness and free radical damage,” says Ildi Pekar, NYC-based aesthetician and founder of her own eponymous skincare line.

“One reason CBD-infused skincare is more effective is because hemp molecules are extremely small, making the penetration into the skin far easier than most creams,” according to Dr. Andrew Kerklaan, president and founder of Dr. Kerklaan Therapeutics.

“If you happen to have a reaction from a CBD topical product, it’s likely not from the CBD itself, but some other ingredient like a botanical,” explains Dr. Adarsh Mudgil, a double board-certified dermatologist and founder of Mudgil Dermatology.
