Addison Morris, founded the Cannabis Chamber of Commerce in 2012. As the Colorado cannabis industry began to take shape it was clear that there was a need for the Women’s Cannabis Chamber of Commerce. The Women’s Cannabis Chamber of Commerce launched on January 01, 2016.
Addison is a serial entrepreneur, starting her first business in 1969 to finance college. She became a legal right activist at an early age, working for the Equal Rights Amendment and an end to the Viet Nam war. Addison began participating in and organizing women’s groups and small art events.
As an entrepreneur she became involved in local chambers of commerce. Chambers were effective in increasing her market reach and opening doors for future business ventures. Addison contributes her business transitions as “paying attention to customers’ needs and trends.” From her first retail shop she moved into antiques (Arkwright Antiques) which lead her into interior design. She continued to organize women networking events and moved into organizing and teaching seminars and workshops on business development.
In 2000, Addison, discovered Blog Spot and began blogging. At the time there was a very limited audience. In 2007 she discovered Facebook and began to utilize it and Blog Spot as marketing tools for her business. She began teaching seminars on how to use Facebook to market boutiques. She turned it into a business, Panache Press/Sweet Jane Marketing, which eventually included writing business plans, creating pitch decks and business development.
Addison has always been passionate about moving women forward into business success.
